At Greene County Soccer, we believe in the power of community and teamwork, both on and off the field. As a 100% volunteer-run organization, we rely on the dedication and passion of individuals just like you to help make our soccer programs a success. Whether you're looking to share your love for soccer, help shape young athletes' futures, or simply contribute to a great cause, there are countless ways for you to get involved.

At GCSA, there’s a lot of behind-the-scenes work that goes into keeping the league running smoothly, from managing the website and ensuring game schedules are set to coordinating fundraising events. If coaching or direct game involvement isn’t your thing but you have skills in areas like field maintenance, event planning, or financial management, we’d love to hear from you! We’re always looking for dedicated individuals to help in a variety of ways to ensure our league continues to thrive.

Concessions

We are always looking for dedicated volunteers to run our concessions stand during Fall game days. Tasks include preparing food (hot dogs), selling items, tracking inventory, and keeping the stand clean and organized, as well as taking out trash.
Schedule: Saturdays, Mid-August to October, typically from 9:00 AM EST to 4:00 PM EST, with shifts available.

Officiating (Referees)

During the Fall season, GCSA needs game officials for the 8U and above age groups. This role requires a solid understanding of the game and its rules. For more information on becoming a certified referee, visit Indiana Soccer Association/Referees.

Board Membership

GCSA is a non-profit organization that is run by a dedicated Board of Directors. We aim to have 10 board members annually and often have open positions. It truly takes a small army to bring this league to life! Board members are responsible for tasks such as:

  • Planning Spring Soccer Skills Camp and the Fall season

  • Maintaining the GCSA facility in Linton, IN

  • Managing GCSA’s social media and website

  • Organizing fundraising efforts

  • Securing and managing sponsorships

  • Vendor management (pictures, lawn care, uniforms, insurance, etc.)

The board meets monthly, 10 out of 12 months (with a holiday hiatus Mid-November through December). Board members serve 2-year terms, and there are 5 officer positions: President, Vice President, Treasurer, Registrar, Secretary, and Referee Coordinator.

Interested in joining the board or providing feedback/ideas?
Join us in November for our Annual Member Meeting! Or reach out to the board via email at GreeneCountySoccerAssociation@gmail.com to get involved sooner.
